Designs resulting creations (Cont. part 1)

Language of design

From the last article based on the concept of design and some of its most admired examples, in this article let us delve into the deeper world of the best designers and how they visualize the important parameters on how to create a meaningful perspective before moving into the production of any product. Remember last I had mentioned about 2 distinctive forms of design -> Aesthetics and Usability based, according to the co-founder of Apple and I believe we all know him, it was Late Steve Jobs who said in order to get the Ideal design, it is a must to combine both the fields of Aesthetics and Interactive /Usability of the product. This statement he made when someone asked what he thinks the secret behind designing the most innovative product line. Continuing with the design philosophy of Apple, it is said that every product has a definite life until a point when it needs to be replaced by another so one individual product could dictate the market for a certain period and after that it needs to be upgraded to new, more efficient which facilitate our everyday working life.

Principles

According to Jobs, there are specific rules for designing a product and these rules really signify the design of every Apple device that comes on the market. Some of them are as follows:

1. Knowing about the future trend & requirement of people

2. Whatever one designs, s/he must have the clear perspective of what the device is made to achieve when it is used.

3. Following own intuition which may come at a cost of ignoring current demands of customers

4. A discipline design maintaining the ethics of creativity that is the simplicity

All these 4 statements are taken from the company's expression for their product designing in front of media & therefore it could be termed as core values to maintain when you are in the design table in apple.

The significance of Intuitive design

We must recognize the statement which is about following own intuition because the customer may feel ignored and undervalued for not considering his/her recommendations and putting something completely unknown in the market which at first seen as degrading the company's image and only being able to sell on its brand image but later the masses come to know how valuable the changes are and their contribution towards building a productive device which proves to be satisfactory. This is the organization's vision for the introduction of a new design language for its products and people at present time fails to identify what its purpose is and misunderstand the credibility factor, being in a company which is so driven by the innovative thought process, it's certain that at some point they have to take a gamble on the inclusion of distinctive features and also removing some of the basics that violate the current market demand but opening a new segment and laying the foundation for a fresh design language - it cou;d be both on physical that is aestgetics wise and the user interactive virtual sysem the device uses to set the connection between men & machine and makes it a possibility to have a fluidic interaction between both.

The company's design head Jonathan Ive who emphasizes on design is a way to connect the person to his device & sets the thoughts in the disturbance which forces us to think why a product looks like what it does and why not like others & that is the motive of Apple wants to bring by designing them. He wants simplicity at the heart of company's design philosophy which actually resonates with the vision of whole organization to implement ease of accessing the device full potential.

Let's say the design philosophy makes it such a big success among people and even the competing brands get forced to accept the trend which is first brought by the company called Apple.  Hope the read is a productive one for every person going through this write-up.
